I have two sons with Fragile X. They're 15 and 18. I also have a 20 yr. old son and a 13 yr. old that are okay.I have brothers and cousins also. There are so many wonderful programs and teachers out there that can make it better.Find out all the information you can. That really helped me.My sons know that they are different and it breaks my heart when I hear them call themselves the name of "Retard". I let them know that they are Special to me everyday and they can do alot more then they think they can.My one son is enrolled in a school that has "regular" kids and "Special" kids, this really helps the "regular" kids realize that they're not that much different from them.I pray every night that they and myself can handle anything that society dishes out.You'll be okay.
