Have you asked your daughter what she is scared of? I would suggest you talk to her to see if she actually knows what she is fearing. She may not know herself why she is having fear. Or...she may have seen something in her room or "thought" she saw something in her room. Either way, she has a reality in her mind that there is something to fear and she will continue to act on that fear until it is dealt with. When I was her age, I walked into my house and thought I saw a shadow in the living room. No one was home at the time. My parents went grocery shopping and my two older brothers were outside playing. The shadow was very real to me and I carried that fear for many years. I would cry when my parents sent me to my bedroom to go to bed. I didn't want to go into the darkness of the upstairs alone. It even carried into my teen years. When I would go home at night and no one else was home, I would either sit in my car until my parents came home, or I would go inside the house and sit in the chair by the door and not move until my parents came home. Your daughter has a great deal of fear up, and she needs to talk to you about it so you can find out exactly what is causing it so you can help her deal with it. If she doesn't talk about it I'm sure it will stay with her for many years. Please don't attempt to convince her that it is silly to be scared because she has a reality that something is fearful and it needs to be dealt with to clear it out of her mind energy so she feels safe. When someone is in fear, it changes who they are and they don't see the world as a loving place. She can't be in a space of love when fear is the filter she is using to look at the world around her, because everything will become negative to her.
