I experienced those same problems in my mid-thirties. (I am 51 years old now.) I went through numerous surgical procedures (DNC, etc.) before eventually having a partial hysterectomy. Since then I have learned that the excess bleeding comes as a result of an egg not being released during some monthly cycles. This causes the progesterone part of the cycle to not be triggered. So, the estrogen continues to be unchecked. The next month an egg may be released, the progesterone kicks in and you bleed extra heavily. By the way, I have learned about it from books I obtained through Amazon. Don't expect your medical doctor to tell you anything about natural sources. The medical profession, for the most part, sells surgery and writes prescriptions. You will have to investigate the natural routes on your own. If I had it to do over, I would have gone to a componding pharmacy to get progesterone cream to try to regulate my heavy bleeding before I had surgery. At the time, I didn't know any better. I now use natural hormone cream for my HRT, compounded by my local pharmacy instead of taking Premarin.
