Had irritable bowel several years ago, so I know how painful it is. My doctor advised me how to control it with diet and it gradually went away. Now I can eat fried foods, although I usually don't because of the calories and fat. I have come to believe there is a psychological factor in this. It can be inherited too! In my own case, I had an inner conflict I was suppressing and not dealing with. I was afraid and anxious. The problem was resolved in a short period of time and the irritable bowel was gone. I did have more trouble with fear, stress and anxiety which God used to help me face things instead of suppressing them. I am stronger as a result. Also, I am reminded of a woman who couldn't help from the doctors, either. They concluded she had a gluten sensitivity. (I have learned fear damages the immune system, resulting in allergies). She is well now, too. May God meet him in every need and heal him. If I can be of help, let me know.
