I don't know anything other than what my brother has experienced. He had back problems with a ruptured disc from moving a heavy tool box; this was confirmed by an MRI. He later had a lateral impact automobile accident, in which he did NOT go to a doctor immediately after. A month later his back starting hurting intensively. No one could figure out WHY he was in so much pain. It became to the point that he could NOT work and was bed ridden. He went through the injections with no relief. FINALLY he had a second MRI. We advised him to see a neurosurgeon; the best in this area. This neurosurgeon immediately indentified on the MRI "multiple free floating disc fragments". This neuro was the ONLY person who could see these on the MRI. Is it possible that this is your problem? Good luck, and I hope you find relief.
