Hi! My children both had lice about 3 years ago or so. They are now 5 and 7. I asked everyone I knew what to do. We tried Rid, which was a joke! The doctor prescribed something. I had to use it all up and it sort of worked, but as I recall it was not cheap. And I still had to pick the nits out by hand. My sister-in-law suggested I use dog shampoo for fleas. I laughed at first. She suggested I go to the local liquidator (here in Los Angeles, we have one called Big Lots!)to get a bottle. I was able to get a big bottle for about $1.00. I think it was Hartz for Dogs. Nothing fancy. We used it once and all the lice was GONE! I figured it may be stronger. But if it is OK to use on a pet, how much could it really hurt a person?
