Carla, most of my pain is caused by the same sort of thing as yours in that it is problems in my spine that cause pain elsewhere in the body. I have well over 300 internal NF tumours and they are all the way through my spinal cord causing all sorts of problems form pain to numbness in my hands to bladder problems. Over the past 20 yrs I have had ever type of pain relief possible and have in the last 4 yrs had to go onto morphine just so the pain is eased enough for me to get out of bed and get through the day. My two children are my reason to keep going and I have after yrs of searching got a fantastic G.P (famiy doctor) and Neuro surgeon who is also a expert in NF here in the UK. I foun nd alot of thge doctors problems are that they will not admit to not knowing enough about NF to effectivly care for a patient but they want the "glory" of having a NF patirent to show off.
