Hi my mom is 66 yrs old and has had severe pain on her right side. After many years and test latter, Dr's say she as stones. Now here's the kick my mom has severe high blood pressure, her first gall bladder surgery was canceled because it was 210/200! She goes to surgery this wed. She has been taking high blood pressure medication which has brought it down some what. After reading this forum my concerns are with risk? First has anyone had blood pressure issues? If so, what did you do before and after surgery? Second, what are the risks involved with Gall Bladder Surgery? The Dr. is so smooth about everything...it's an outpatient procedure (she'll be home the same day), not to worry I've done 100's of these, etc.... Maybe I'm a worry wart but when someone tells me not to worry I WORRY!. I'm just really afraid for my mom...I don't want to loose her in the ops table...can someone offer me some advice...please.
