6 years of suffering?! Wow --I've been in tremendous pain for 5 months and I just don't know where to turn. I am not even sure I have the right diagnosis. The ortho gave me a cortizone injection yesterday --absolutely no relief! I've had a lumbar MRI and pelvic xrays which show nothing --hence the piriformis diagnosis. I am desperate for answers and relief. Could this possibly be a hernia--would some type of test detect this? What do the saline injections do?
