I believe you are referring to MRSA which is MethoResistantStaphAuerous. It is a mutated staph infection and can be highly contagious. I have had it and I am supposed to be quaranteened when entering a hospital. I have many operations and not all hospitals follow this procedure. But I did get a letter from the center for decease control informing me of the dangers of MRSA and instructing me to tell hospital and doctor personnel when I enter that type of an environment. Use your gut instinct and ask the ob doctor so you can keep the baby safe.
