Autoimmune disease /diagnosis in progress

Sure sounds familiar. Try reading the info on Mastocytosis. I was diagnosed with lupus by 3 dermatologists many years ago, (hair loss, red itchy rash on face, neck & scalp.) Not so, years and many problems later I was diagnosed with Systemic Mastocytosis. For many winters I never wore a coat - I was warm year round. If I'm active in any way and the temperature is 70 degrees or above I turn red from chest to the top of my head, feel faint and have to stop whatever I'm doing and take Benedryl. Hot baths & showers are out because they turn me so red & itchy. I've had allergic reactions to anti-inflammatories (acid indigestion), many antibiotics (numerous infections), and Morphine(following second bladder surgery.) The good news is that if this could be your problem, it can be treated and there's excellent information and support through internet. The bad new is that there's no cure, but maybe a celebrity will come down with it and we'll get more attention. Montel Williams has sure helpted the MS Cause. I wonder if these are related someway - my sister has MS. Good luck, hang in there - there's hope - always.
