I have the same problem but it is only on one side. They had me one naprosin but that did not work. At the same time I had a mass growing on the back of my neck, it was pushing my spine the other direction. So they said that they had to take care of my neck and worry about my hip later. They had put me on predisone for a week before my surgery and beleve it or not , the predisone helped my hip. It acts up now and then, I'm a grocery store manager and I do alot of walking-after this Easter week I could feel it but most of the time if I take Ibprofin that helps-Good Luck, Karen W.
