Sharry, No, my PMR hasn't gone away. I was just saying for those of you who are fighting the Prednisone; don't. It is there to help you live without pain. My PMR is still active after nearly 5 yrs and after the last relapse, I really wonder sometimes. The disease symptoms can leave just as rapidly as they arrived (like I said, for me it was overnight). I have contracted osteoporosis and I don't know if it is from the drug (one side effect) or I would have gotten it anyway. I have been very lucky so far with no other side effects from it. Take care of yourself and try not to worry how long it is taking. Impatience breeds STRESS and none of us need that. Donna
