well i can tell you i live with that since 91 and i had surgery.. i also work in a rehab unit and i can give you some exercises.once u wake up lye on ur stomach, elbows bent like ur sitting on em, arch your back down onto the bed as far as u can deal with it, stay like that for a minute or so . repeat streacthing 3 times, then lye on ur back, lift either leg towars you bent postion, that will strectch ur syatic nerve, hold postion for a minute do the same for the other leg, repeat 3 times, standing you can do side stretches, slowly til u can feel it stretching, also in the shower i find relief when i bent as far as i can go slowly reaching my toes while the hot water is on me and life your head up, im in there like a minute of so and while im bent i move side to sideas u get up, bend ur knees not quickly and bring urself up, what causes ur back pain, is there a problem with a disc, have you checked it out? body mechanicas are very important as well, how u lift objects and how u set em down, making a bed can give u back pain unless u do it rite, apply hot and cold pack 15 minutes each, good luck to you
