I have not heard of the beer cure. alcohol in excess makes me burn while I pee. I while in my mid 20's was on the long term antibotic treatment, and found to have the same results as you . I out grew the cronic prostate problen, and only get a flair up a couple of times a year. I take levacen [sp], and it does ok. now for the strange part. I also get cronic sinus infections a few times per year. After being treated for sinus, with antibotics, you can set your watch, that I will have a prostate within 2 weeks after sinus is ok. It has been doing this for over 20 years now, and the "sawbones" just say oh well!. I know they are connected. I love beer too, but the best advice I can give you is to drink plenty of water each day, with at least one whole lemon added to a glass of water. good luck.
