Hi Reed,What was your prognosis if you don't mind me asking? I went to a hemotologist this past Monday, he had order a number of blood work tests, and he wanted to do a bone marrow test. Yesterday I went for the blood work, they took 4 vials (tubes) of blood, I had no problem with that because I am used to them taking blood. The part that I hated was after I went for the bloodwork, I had a doctor's visit right after that. The doc did a bone marrow test from my back bone. I will never have another bone marrow test! I usually have a high tolerance for pain, up until I had that test done, the novacaine burned like crazy, he had to keep giving me more because I felt everything he was doing. He used 2 different needles to get the blood and marrow I guess, but I was having pain shooting down my right leg while he was doing it and it felt like a drill was drilling into my bones. That test really hurts, now I have to make sure I don't get an infection from it or a lot of bleeding. He said the results would take up to 3 weeks to get back. I go back to him on the 13th at 3:30. Did you have this test done? Could you or anyone tell me why he did a bone marrow test on me? Thanks, would appreciate it.
