Just got to read the thread... There are also remedies for surgical recovery and to prevent the infectious states associated with implants,etc.. Emptying the catheter bag is not really such a hassle. It's easy to anticipate your scheduled output after awhile. There are smaller bags that attach to your leg with straps for outdoor activities and larger bags for nighttime. Unfortunately, since the urine immediately flows into the bag as it is filtered through the kidneys, the muscles of the lower urinary tract get weakened because they are not being allowed to hold volume. There is a surgery for stretching the urethra and bladder called 'hydrolic dilitation'. This often corrects neurogenesis related to 'small capacity bladder' and other genetic defects or alterations in structure from trauma and diseases that leave scar tissue. It would be something to try before other more drastic surgery. You don't even need to have general anesthesia to undergo the procedure. It's an outpatient thing.
