I have had this problem in the past also. My doctor said that it is caused from repetative motion. I work on a computer all day and do a lot of crafts that agrivate my arms. He sent me for physical theraphy. There I learned several exercises to keep the muscles in my arms relaxed. One is to stretch out your arm and hold a small dumb bell (no more than 2 lbs) in your hand and move your hand up toward your shoulder and hold for 5 - 10 sec then relax. Do this 13 times. Also you can put your hand against a hard surface and push gently and hold for a few seconds. Also with dumb bell, pull your hand toward the floor and hold for the same count and times. Theis stretches the top muscle that runs down the front of the arm that is connected to the elbow. When the dumb bell is not available, you can pull your hand up toward your shoulder and hold for the same count and times. With mine the theraphist found that there was a sore muscle at the front of the arm just below the bend of the arm. You can find this by gently pressing your arm. Mine sometimes runs all the way down to the wrist. Gently massage the painfull areas until the pain reduces. I have to massage until it is releaved where ever I find the pain. This helps me the most. I also have had the shots (which releaved the pain temporarily) and the anti-inflammatorys did little for me. The massage and exercises has helped to keep it from recurring. Hope this helps you.
