I have been diagnosed with this weird condition of which most medical personnel haven't heard about, or if they have they, have never seen anyone with it, especially as bad as myself.I am apparently the worst case in Australia.I need to lie down and keep the stretcher flat to reduce my signs and symptoms, so when I am unconscious, which is often, the medics need to know a number of things about my condition. I am also allergic to a number of things including the plastic hospital name bands, and all types of adhesive dressings, and cardiac telemetry dots. I investigated 'Medic Alert' and 'SOS' brand bracelets.I found them too restrictive in their ability to cater for medical information rather than listing diagnosed well known conditions. They're good for things like Diabetes, Angina, and allegies to certain things, like Penicillan, etc. Because of their lack of space to write information in detail I chose to wear a cylindrical pill container around my neck. It can normally hold up to 6 pills depending on their size.It is meant as an emergency suppply of medication such as for Anginine or people who suffer anaphylactic shock.I do not use it for medication but as a medic alert container.I have typed my information onto some airmail letter weight paper to enable the paper to be folded in half or thirds and then rolled into a cyclinder. I then use a piece of thick cotton thread wound around the roll with a tail of thread hanging at the ends.I found if you just rolled up the paper and inserted it into the cylindrical pill container it would unravel and it was then difficult to remove without damaging it.Good luck - give it a try.
