Check out the book "Coping with Prednisone"... can't remember the author's name! It gives some wonderful suggestions. I just joined Weight Watchers and in one month have lost 7 pounds, although they told me I might not be able to lose weight . They said it will be harder to lose and will take longer, but I am doing it! Try to limit sodium, as it increases water retention, which is one of the causes of weight gain and prednisone. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to decrease watrer retention. Good luck!
