An easy excercise is to roll a can of soda with the center of your foot while seated. This strenghtens your tendon muscle. They also have fancier roller devices and other foot therapy on foot therapy web sites. And, instead of the "boot" they have a simple velcro strap to keep tendon stretched at nite. Alleve or any store brand version will help to relieve muscle/tendon pain. Good Luck!
