my son was diagnosed end of sophmore year in high school and put on 10 mg of adderal. what a difference. he only wishes he could start school over again. life was frustrating for him before then. at 14, I would never even think of taking your child off medication that helps him focus in school and in everyday life. too many other things going on in their lives to upset them at this age - don't add to it by poor grades and class behavior.
