I hope you have a great psyc.MD on your side as you help your son deal with his ADD..I was finally able to get treatment at 52 years of age after many job losses and painful attacks on my self esteam. My psyc.doc has me on dexedrine spansules and they are wonderful! They last throught out a 12-hr shift most of the time, and if I need to I can take one in the afternoon IF I need to stay focused thru the evening hours. He also has me on Wellbutrin to help combat the depression which so often accompanies ADD. Just remind your son that ADD'ers are really great people...we are creative, problem solvers, deep thinkers, caring and compassionate people. We are curvi-linear, not linear like the rest of this techy world, and in truth, we are what make this world a better place to live in. I just had to live half a century to finally figure that out! By the way, my son is also ADD, as is my sister and her two children. My brother has a few ADD traits, and so does his daughter. I also have a number of cousins who are ADD and all are contributing members of society. God bless...keep going, even when the bastards tell you you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding...they just don't know our inner strength!!
