Please, Please, Please have patience with your daughter. Bed wetting is very often an inherited problem, but not always. Both my parents were bed wetters as were my brother and myself. In many cases, the night-time wetting is the result of sound sleeping, small bladder and bladder spasms. Consult your doctor. There are now medications to help deal with the problem. But if these fail, it's best to simply have the child wear the proper bladder control underwear to bed. It is humiliating enough for the child as they grow older. A child doesn't need a frantic set of parents to make matters worse. She WILL outgrow it, but nobody knows when. I wet the bed until I was 11 yrs. old. Both of my children were bedwetters also. I made nothing of the "incidents." Unfortunately at that time they did not have the wonderful night-time protection on the market that they do now. Every night I had to get up with each of them, change their clothing and bedding. My children are now grown, but still often mention to me how much they appreciated our tolerance of their problem.
