Many years ago my brother had cut his leg on some barbed wire. We were visiting my uncle and my uncle was "Mr. tough guy" and he too wouldn't take my brother to get stitches. (He now has a real bad scar from it whereas stitches would have only left a smaller scar) ANYWAY, we had waited all day to go to the swimming pool and so my uncle took us to the public pool and told my brother to just jump in and it would feel better. At the time we thought he was being his normal mean self. Since then I have heard people say that if you drop bleech over a shallow cut (it hurts, but heals) or rub super glue on the deeper ones and hold it together until it dries. WE AREN'T DR.'S SO ASK YOUR PARENTS FIRST!! But my husband has done the superglue many times and it works. But with any "quick fix" you may be looking at a bigger scar and more scar tissue. If it needs stitches, get them. It will keep you from having more infection, etc. And it sounds like your cut is deep enough to need more medical attention.
