You aren't crazy! I had the same thing happen to me. I'm also an ICU nurse and fell at work. Since that time I have had horrible neck pain, headaches, and am unable to write well. A NSG here that is highly regarded told me the same thing and treated me as if it was all in my head. I went to a NSG who specializes in Chiari Malformation at Baylor Univ. Hosp. in Dallas who was quite the opposite. She told me the degree of herniation does not always coincide with the symptoms. I was urged to have surgery but workers comp wouldn't pay for it. I became pregnant shortly after my dx. and since then have a normal MRI. They can't explain it. Anyway, the NSG said with my 3-4 mm herniation it caused a spinac cord injury and I still am unable to work. Don't let anyone tell you you're crazy. Find another Dr. who deals with this on a regular basis. Good luck!
