Are you sure your granddaughter has dyslexia at four years old? This could be developmental and she will learn to read and write just fine - when she is ready. Your own experiences with adults are not necessarily transferrable to children, especially one as young as four. Talk to someone with experience and familiarity with early childhood education and development - they may tell you that what you are labelling dyslexic is just a normal developmental stage in a child. Remember that not all children are ready to read at 4 or even 6 - my daughter had a slow start but is now an avid 14-year old reader.
