My husband suffered a rupture in the basilar artery. Near the brain stem. He spent two and a half weeks in the hospital and then returned to work five months later. During this time there was not any testing done to evaluate his level of function. He waent back to working construction, climbing several stories without safety harnessand operating heavy equipment. He would get lost on the way to work. Would be on the job site and not remember why he was there or who he worked for. He is a very stubborn man and providing for his family is his life. He has since quit work because instead of getting better with time he has gotten worse. After being diagnosed with organic brain syndrome he has applied for social sec. dissability. It seems to me that the medical field just threw him out into the world without testing his limitations. He also has problems with his balance and is having seizures. Is ther anyone else out there with any ideas or information on recovery?
