I had that procedure done over 20 years ago and I do not remember any side effects whatsoever. I had the biopsy done before the cryosurgery and I remember it was uncomfortable and left me cramping for a very short time. If your GYN thinks nothing is wrong; try another GYN. Cryo. only destroys the bad cells -- doens't seem to me like there should be side effects. Also, I went for Paps 1 month later, 3 months later, 6 months later and back to annuals. Good luck!
