Hi, I have found that a few drops of tea tree oil in warm water helps a lot with canker sores or gum soreness. Just swish it in your mouth a few times a day. Try to do 4 or 5 swishes each time. It will immediately make it feel better and will help heal it faster. Another thing that helped me prior to using tea tree oil is myrrh. Get it, also, in liquid form and do the same thing in warm water. As with any remedy, be sure that you have no allergies to the things you try. I, too, tend to get swollen glands if I have soreness in my mouth. One thing my dentist told me was that my gum soreness, etc is probably due to stress, so try to decrease that if possible! Good luck.
