Linda C.
I am 17 weeks pregnant and was just diagnosed with TTT. I was referred by my OBGYN to a specialist who diagnosed me. My doctor said this is the most severe case of TTT he has seen and said the small baby has severe brain damage and the larger twin has congestive heart failure. I was told of all of this 5 days ago and we made the decision not to have the laser treatment that can defuse the babies from the placenta because the doctor felt that the babies would pass away before we got into surgery. I go back tomorrow to be prepped for surgery to remove the babies, but my hope is that the babies may still be alive and we may have chance. But I may just be wishfull thinking. Does anyone have any advice and does anyone know of a case that was this severe that one or both of the babies survived. Thank you, Linda
