I have degenerative disc disease also. My DR. sent me to a pain management center. The center has worked out great for me. Ther is something called an intrathecal pump they can insert in your side and a tube runs into your spinal cord with medication that drips onto your nerves where the pain is coming from. It might be worth asking your DR> about. Good Luck
