Our 18 year old daughter has Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. When she raises her right arm, the subclavian vein compresses almost completely. A blood clot, causing almost total blockage, resulted directly after the compressed area. This has since been removed, after numerous attempts to do so. She has been on Cumadin to thin her blood. Blood tests have come back negative - however, other blood tests will only be able to be done after she is off Cunadin. She is supposed to have surgery, to remove the nearby rib. Can anyone give us any information on this? Have you experienced a similar situation? Thank you for your help!
