My mother-in law had ganglion cysts on her foot. They were malignant in the sense that they recurred, but they were not neoplastic. In other words they did not affect the tissue surrounding the cyst. They did put pressure on the foot. That's why she had them removed, but the Dr. told me that there were no fingers growing into and destroying any other tissue. They alway s cme back on her foot. They didn't spread to other parts of her body.
