After surgery care

I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and have been on almost every pain killer on the market. The one I've found that works best for me is Fentanyl (also known as Duragesic) patches. It has a lot less side-effects than morphine and works a lot better. When I first began using it I had some nausea and vomitting for about a week (no problems since). It's a patch that you wear for 3 days at a time so you don't ahve to take a bunch of pills. Most don't encounter many side-effects unless they start you off on a higher dose than they're supposed to. You should be started on 25mcg patches and go up from there as needed. In addition I take Oxycontin as needed for breakthrough pain. I spent over a year in bed due to pain and am now able to do so much more because I finally have adequate pain relief. I hope this helps let me know if you have any questions or just need some support!
