I have had bilateral Carpal Tunnel Surgery and right trigger thumb release surgery. I was diagnosed with Severe Carpal Tunnel. I can't open my hands all the way or close them completely. My hands still swell and I still have numbness and I don't go a day without them hurting Sometimes the pain is so great I want to cry. The Doctor discharged me in October of 2000. I was taken off the assembly line and put in the shipping office where I use a computer for 8 hours. Now I am having pain going up into my shoulder more on the right than the left and it hurts so bad I can't sleep at night. I still drop things and can't even hold my 8 year old or play ball or do things outside with him. It hurts to drive as I can't grip the stearing wheel good and they cramp when I drive even a short distance. I was very altheletic and use to be an Emergency Medical Tech. My employer has said I have reached Maxium Medical Improvement and there is nothing more they can do. I have to work. No other Doctor will see me because it is Workman's Comp. If I could live one day with out pain I would jump for joy or even hold my little boy. All my employer has done is try to make me quit. Are there anymore people out there with this problem or do you have any answers or suggestions?
