I hope someone can help. I started breaking out in hives in mid March of this year. It started in my hair and worked its way down onto my face,neck, chest,buttocks and the tops of my feet. I was treated by a dermatologist with Prednisone,Claritin,Zantac and Atarax. It took about a month but they finally cleared up, until last week. I laid out in the sun over last weekend and boy did they come back with a vengence. I have had numerous liver function test, including a Hepatitis a b and C panel. All normal. I am now going to have an ANA (ANTINUCLEAR ANTIBODY)blood test run tomorrow, to see if I maybe have Lupus. My primary Dr. thought at first I was having a reaction to Phenobarbitol. This is an anti-seizure medication I have been taking since I was 11 (I'm 37 now). My dermatologist doesn't think that's what it is. Does any of this sound familiar to anybody out there? The hives are now on the front and back of my legs. My legs were not affected with my first outbreak. They are round shaped and very large. Not like blisters but just large raised areas. there is also dark coloration, like bruises within some of these areas. I am now taking 2 Atarax every 4 hours, Prednisone every day, Claritin and Zantac everyday. I anyone can help I would apprectiate it.
