Hi. I have spent all afternoon trying to find out more about 'conversion disorder'. Apparently i have it (according to 2 neurologists), yet 2 psychiatrists and 1 psychologist have yet to diagnose it. i had a car accident nearly 3 years ago - damaged some teeth, whiplash, compressed fracture of T3 - followed by walking difficulties, concentration and memory difficulties and pain. I have recently been tested by a neuropsychologist who recognised memory and processing difficulties. i am led to believe that i may have had a tear in my brain (MRI scan taken approx 2 years later show nothing). All of this seems to be of no concern to my neurologist, who still insists that it is conversion disorder (all in the mind!). This has caused me more distress than the actual car accident. Is there any info out there? Thanks
