My grandfather has had two aneurysms and several strokes. Most aneurysms are operable and it is my recomendation that they be removed. A stint will probably inserted to keep the aneurysm from bursting. Basically it is just a weak or bulging area on the artery however, if it bursts death will soon follow. Don't let the doctors convince you that it is an easy proceedure, it is not. There can be complications. With one of my grandfathers surgeries the anuerysm actually burst when it was clamped off. He has lived a full active life after both of his surgeries however, there is always the posibility of having a third aneurysm in his brain that is inoperable. Basically my advice is to have the aneurysm surgery and get on with your life.
