My prayers are with you. I assume that your pancreatitis was due to inflammation of your gallbladder due to stones or another gallbladder disorder. If not, and they saw a cyst in your pancreatic duct, why did they take out your gallbladder? My husband underwent an ERCP because they suspected a bile duct blockage. He developed "life threatening" Pancreatitis because of this procedure. He was hospitalizes for two weeks and didn't recover for over 8 weeks. He developed psuedo cysts on his pancreas which they though they were going to have to drain by a pancreatic surgeon. Thank god they resolved themselves. He drank a lot of dandelion tea when he was able to drink, while he was in the hospital and after. We're sure it helped, and the doctors were amazed that he recovered as quick as he did given how bad he was. Did your doctor tell you that the risk of developing Acute Pancreatitis was 20% from and ERCP?? Pretty high since you cannot "live" without your pancreas. My husband took the risk because he was debilitated from pain and the CAT Scans and MRI's came back normal. Have they done abdominal CAT scans and/or abodminal MRI's? From what I understand, these tests should show a pancreatic cyst and are much less risky than an ERCP. Question your doctor more before you agree to this procedure and make sure whoever is going to perform it is highly qualified. As for the kidney stones, I had them and from what I learned after, drinking lots of H2O will prevent them. I don't believe there is a link. Pure no sugar added Cranberry juice/concentrate will help support your kidneys. Good luck, and remember it's your life, and doctors are not God. God Bless, and good luck.
