Just had the sugery 8 days ago.I thought that I would be in more pain than I was. But with and fusion using hip as grafting material there is a risk that doctors don't tell you about. It is not a perment solution, they only last 5-10 years. Than you may have problems.If you can afford to I would have the new disc replacement. They replace the disc with a prostetic ratheer than just cutting the disk. The long term is good for these as they have been using them in Eroupe for more than ten years
