MIGRAINE DURING PREGNANCY

Sansy

Message 7 of 11 Previous Next

Dear Kelly, I've suffered with migraines since the age of 13. Some foods do make them come on--certain hot dogs and meats like pepperoni are particularly bad. Anyway, the only lasting relief that I've found is regularly visiting my chiropractor. It seems that keeping my neck in alignment has been the answer for me. He has been able to stop a full-blown migraine in its tracks, and that is a miracle in my book! Since you are pregnant, it is the only truly safe treatment that can help you and not harm your baby. Many chiropractors will work out a deal with you if you have any kind of insurance. My chiropractor charges me $25.00 a month for unlimited visits and then bills my insurance for the rest. I keep in good shape going about once a week. Of course, if a really bad and persistent migraine hits, I will go more often. If at all possible, please give a good chiropractor a chance. Call around in your area until you find one that will work with you. There are wonderful ones out there, and I hope you find one as good as mine. He's my angel. Good luck! Please let me know what happens. Thanks, Sansy
