To make this short, I have friends who have had their infant daughter taken out of their custody due to "unexplained" broken ribs. All involved admit there is no sign of child abuse, the parents have passed polygraph tests, but DHS feels the home is still unsafe. Doctors here said if she had OI, it would be fatal. We know from research that this is not the case. She has the blue scelara, is almost 7 months old and 0-3 month clothing just now is beginning to fit her perfectly. She has no cartilage in her hips as well. We have been unable to locate any specialists for OI. We could really use anyone's help, as we are going on 2 months that the baby has been foster care. If there is anyone out there who knows where we can find a list of specialists, or who knows of specialists in Oklahoma, even Texas or Arkansas, Kansas--any neighboring streets, we would be extremely grateful.
