Could someone please tell me what fibromyalgia is. I've been on disability every since Oct.2000 and my problems began when I injured my knee and it has been down hill every since. My knee didn't get any better but the doctor that did the surgery told me that I could work as long as I sat down but I had other problems too pain and swelling in all my joints and when I say pain some days I can't even get out of bed for the chronic pain. That doctor referred me to a rheumatologist who has ordered xrays, MRI, and a bone scan and not to mention the blood work and the doctor still can't tell me what's wrong with me. But the doctor did tell me that I've got arthritis but she also said that something else is wrong with me but she just doesn't know what is wrong with me. I have been asking a whole lot of questions but still haven't gotten any answers. In about 3 weeks I go and take a test that was ordered by SSA (yes I applied for SSI). and they asked you a lot of questions even about what meds your taken. What lost me was I applied for SSI because of my chronis pain and swelling but they wanted to know more about my depression because I told them that I was taken meds for depression. I just hope that along the way I can find out more about why I experience the chronic pain nad swelling in all of my joints.
