I've not thought about the tea tree oil in the sitz bath. I've been doing sitz baths now for 8 weeks since I was diagnosed with an anal fistula. I have to use the tub instead of the comode sitz because it isn't as irritating to my skin. And the comode sitz bath aggravates my hemmorhoids.....oh joy! Epson Salts in the water helps me a lot. But I have been using a witch hazel compress on the fistula. I did NOT want to do surgery so I postponed it for six months...just to see if there would be some healing even though I have been told that is an impossibility.
