I just had an attach of severe gout all over. I asked the Rehumi if diet is really the problem and she said no.. The reason being I had been eating beans almost every day{trying to do with out meat} and for the past three months the gout comes and comes, getting worse and worse.I can't believe chicken soup was the cause of your gout especially if it was home made. When you make it home made with a real chicken for stock and veggies you know you are not adding MSG and tons of salt to it.{ever look at the salt content to some canned soups?} But I have to say I will cut out the beans every day. I would like to know if vegetarians get gout? It would clear up that thought about meat. Did you ever look at the diet recommended for people with gout? no oatmeal, no white flour, no red meat, no shell fish, no sardines, no caffine,no cauliflower, no fish, no eggs, no lentils, no peas, no spinach and no yeast products.no fried foods, nothing cooked with heated oil, I think that's the whole spectrum of food groups. Doc John on another forum, said to drink cherry juice or take cherry extract capsules every day.He said to find it at Enzymatic Therapy. I would like to hear more from gout sufferers and what they take. or eat for that matter.
