Hello, I read your email to Healthlink.com about your polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have this. I had this for 20 years +. I have been married for 14 years and never had a child, I have been very fortunate to have a wonderful unstanding husband. It does prevent pregnancy among others. Weight Gain?? Tell me about it. Unfortunately I live in the boondocks (Hick town) of St. Louis Metro Area of Missouri. I have yet to find a doctor that can help. I did however found one that sort of helped. I went for a laproscopy and had my ovaries zapped with laser to rid of the cysts. I now have my menses every month for the last 5 years. I use to have it once every 6-12 months. I was on Clomid for 3 years, nothing happened. I think that the doctor just gave up on me. I am a hopeless case is my guess. Yes, It is hereditary, all my aunts on my Father's side have this, fortunately for them, it was not that bad, they were able to conceive. Lexi
