I've just been diagnosed with Meniere's Disease. I had my first attact back in Sept and then just recently another. I'm on medication (as needed). I'm still trying to find out more about it and it's long term effects. I'm trying to figure out if I need to see a speicalist or not. This last attack had me wiped out for over 3 days. It's very scary, as I am a mother of 3 and I am always running around. I'm concerned about future hearing loss or extreme means that may need to happen if it doesn't stay under relative control. I work with Brain Injury survivors and this has given me a greater insight to some of what they go through. It's my understanding that long term effects also has an impact on memory or coordiantion. As I said before, I am interested in learning about long term effects, who I should see for the condition and how folks handle their attacks. Thanks Michelle
