I have had RSD for over 10 years and I have found some methods work at different times and stages, !st do range of motion and stretching and whatever you can do but do not be pushed. You need to do what you can but overdoing can make things worse. If you have a painful area that is frozen or out of alinement find an excellent PT known for mobilizations and good at mesage, myofacial release, muscle energy etc. This process may take a year but you may gain mobility back like I did. To help with this painful time Accupuncture is very helpful. If you cannot tolerate any of this I would say try again starting very gently. This is not short term so you must exxplaine to your treating Dr. to support you in writing the needed scripts. I am walking long enough to be back driving again. Be sure to keep painful body parts unrestricted and ellivated. This is an odd illness even causing waking up many times at night and causing fatigue. I say hang in there and get a good medical team behind you and that is difficult to find. Many Drs. that say they know about RSD really do not have a clue so you have to be well informed. I hope I helped you and good luck. Be proud of yourself asking for help from JB in Michigan.
