My mother was diagnosed and had surgery for ovarian cancer 4-29-00. She had chemo last year. Late January 2001, she felt really bloated and could not breathe too well. When they drained her stomach, they found out that the ascitis has spread to her lungs. They drained it and sealed it with medication. They also started chemo again. This time they are giving her the strongest chemo - Taxol and Cisplatine. She is doing really very well. She has had four chemo. She is breathing well but tires easily. If they have not drained her fluid yet and if they do please make sure that the doctor gives her very strong anaesthesia when they put the medicine in the lungs.
